Installation of Substation Plant:

1. We are issuing substation plants with proprietary items, as required, from KAHRAMAA designated stores. All other items for installation, inter connections and commissioning of the plant and associated protection and indication devices such as hilti type anchor bolts, A.C./D.C. supply and control wires, cables for earth fault indicator connections etc., tools, required instruments, machineries and equipment under our scope of supply and cost.
2. We are supplying and fixing, duly engraved, substation name plates, one outside and one inside, for all the substations for which plant installation is done by us, at no extra cost to client. We are also supplying and fixing two circuit identification plates duly engraved for each circuit. For the substations where more than one transformer or feeder pillars are provided, we are supplying and fixing identification labels.
3. We are installing substations plants, as per the guidelines of the manufacturers and practice of Electricity Distribution Dept. of KAHRAMAA.
4. We are also carrying out earth boring as detailed in the Specification and connect earth wires to the equipment inclusive of supply of all materials.
5. We are also arranging inspection of the Installation by clients designated inspectors and carry out commissioning tests in the presence of clients Engineers when the installation is ready.
6. The installation works may also involve adding substation plant in an existing substation.

SPECIFICATION FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SUBSTATION PLANT SCOPE: The scope of this Specification we are supplying and installing 11kV and Medium Voltage substation plant, including transformers, switchgear, interconnecting cabling and earthing.

INDOOR SUBSTATIONS (H.V. ROOM): The below all works done by us.

In case of oil filled switchgear the tank will be cleaned and filled with tested and approved oil to the required level. Tank gasket to be intact. Check that the mechanism is clean, lubricated and operates freely. All electrical connections in the truck and panel are to be secured. Before and after grouting of the panel the circuit breaker shall be tried in all positions to check correct operations of interlocks, shutters, operating mechanisms etc. Check that the main contacts, the secondary contacts, the earthing contacts are clean and a thin layer of silicon grease or petroleum jelly is applied. Bus bar chamber must be clean. All

with compound. No live part shall be bare, there shall be no compound leaks and adhesive tape if applied must be removed.Inter-panel D.C. tripping wiring must be complete and the incoming D.C. supply cable connected.

Tool box provided. Fire Extinguisher fitted.

Substation lighting D.B. must have the incoming cable connected.

Panel earthing strip must be continuous and substation earth provided at one end.

OUTDOOR SUBSTATION (H.V. GEAR) following below works is doing by us.

In case of oil filled switchgear the tank will be cleaned and filled with tested and approved oil to the required level. Tank gasket to be intact. H.V. Fuse of appropriate rating placed correctly with respect to the striker pin direction and secured properly in the bracket. Oil fuse switch mechanism shall be tested for correct tripping operation in case of fuse failure (H.T. Fuse blown simulation kit will be provided for testing).

Band joint and end cap chambers cleaned. Gaskets intact. Chambers appropriately insulated and sealed.

1. Earth Fault Indicator must be installed and M.V. connections made in the case of auto reset type EFI. Core balance C.T. installed and wiring done. C.T. and E.F.I. assembly must be tested to check correct operation.
2. For transformer C.B. CT ratio and TLF fuse ratings shall correspond to the size of transformer being controlled.

   Plant earthing must be connected.

TRANSFORMERS: We checking the below following points before installing the transformer.

1. Oil Level correct. No leakage
2. All gaskets undamaged.
3. Silica gel breather air unit is charged if required. Silica gel must be blue in color and breather cup Filled with oil to the mark.
4. Oil filled in Thermometer pocket. Thermometer resettled.
5. Tap changing switch wheel locked.
6. H.V. Box gland plate to have two holes of about 5 mm diameter. After completion of H.V. termination bitumen compound to be filled in the gland.
7. Earthing provided.
8. In case of more than one transformers, identifying labels will be fixed.
